SNES Jr. Disassembly Guide

Tools

  • 4.5 mm game bit
  • Phillips screwdriver

Procedure

Flip the console over and use the game bit to remove these four screws from the bottom of the console.

Flip the console back over and remove the top. It should come off easily. Remove these seven Phillips screws to free the circuit board from the casing.

The RF shielding should pull right off if you need to get under it. The heatsink can be removed by removing two Phillips screws on the underside of the PCB and the smaller one that attaches the regulator to the heatsink.
