  • 4.5 mm game bit
  • Phillips screwdriver

Procedure

Flip the console over and remove the four screws in the corners using the game bit.

Flip the console back over and remove the top. It should come off easily.

Remove these five Phillips screws to free the motherboard from the case. Note that there is normally an RF shield covering the motherboard. It is not present in this picture because the NESRGB has already been installed, but it will come off after these screws are removed. Once the screws and RF shield are removed, the motherboard should lift out.
