Known issues and quirks

The N64 applies anti-aliasing at a hardware level, so the image will tend to look a bit blurry when upscaled on a modern display.

Mods

  • RGB bypass kit from Console5 adds RGB video to early Nintendo 64 systems. Uses the THS7316 chip.
  • N64 RGB kit from Voultar adds RGB video to early Nintendo 64 systems. Uses the THS7374 chip.
  • N64RGB adds RGB video to any Nintendo 64 system. Also adds the ability to use de-blur for a sharper image.
  • UltraHDMI adds HDMI output to any Nintendo 64 system. Provides several scaling and post-processing options.
